Began way back in the snowy winter of 2010, this blog continues to follow the progress of an English cottage garden throughout each of the very varied gardening seasons.
The gardens of Pear Tree Cottage sit in a cider apple orchard in the green and rolling countryside of Worcestershire, England. It enjoys a sunny south westerly aspect with sweeping views across to Martley Hillside, Woodbury & Abberley clock tower. The Teme Valley lies just over the hill and, not far away, is the Herefordshire border. Although our climate is temperate - PHZ 8, our seasons are often uncertain and always a challenge to a gardener!
It was the first day of spring and the end of another hectic week at PTC so - time to hoist the flag and enjoy a sundowner in March! For some; it was time to wring out their wet socks after all that power washing!
