The green and rolling countryside of Worcestershire, England, is home to the cider apple orchards which surround the gardens of Pear Tree Cottage. They enjoy a sunny south westerly aspect with sweeping views across to Martley Hillside, Woodbury and Abberley clock tower. The Teme Valley lies just over the hill and, not far away, is the Herefordshire border. Although our climate is temperate, our seasons are often uncertain and always a challenge to a gardener! This began in 2010 & follows the weekly ups and downs of garden work chronicling both successes and failures but, above all, demonstrates the fun enjoyed by three people who regularly garden in all weathers

THE CAST

Pam
- Senior Head Gardener
 & Chief Blogger!

With an agricultural upbringing and paternally inherited horticultural interest. She's out there all weathers and always has a project on the go!  Has far too many ideas and loves improvising, upcycling and recycling the various artifacts and materials that have been acquired in the garden. Loves woodland, humour and fragrance!

Al - Under Gardener

A relatively new convert to the joys of gardening and whose wonderful and all embracing enthusiasm more than compensates for any lack of horticultural experience! A great tidy upper!

Chris
- Chief Gardener

A fully trained forester whose first love is trees. Has a great eye for lines and detail.  Is never fazed by any task - no matter how huge and exudes enthusiasm, dedication and real care.  We always look forward to Saturday afternoons with Chris!

Hi- I run a Facebook group called West Midlands gardeners. We are looking to organise a group visit. At the moment we are just putting out feelers to see if it would be possible for a group visit on Sunday 23rd August 2020. Although we are a group visit each member is responsible for making own way to garden and making sure we keep strict social distancing rules.
Please could you let me know if this would be a possible date to visit.it would be lovely for us to visit, myself included.

Kind regards

Siobhan Braithwaite
